Description

Annona muricata L. can grow to a height of 3-10 m. The stem is branched at the base of the stem. Leaves are simple, arranged alternately, oblong-obovate in shape, with a short acuminate tip. Petiole length 3-7 mm. Flower clusters in the axils. Single type of flower, yellowish green, has three triangular sepals, has six petals. Pseudocarp fruit, ovoid or ellipsoid, dark green and covered with soft spines, fleshy and has white pulp. Seeds are numerous, obovoid in shape, brownish black and shiny.

Usage

Annona muricata L. is used for internal health care for women and men, relieving toothache, treating hair loss and dandruff, removing head lice, relieving fever, typhoid fever, measles, yellow fever, and high fever, increasing appetite, ingredient in massage oil, relieving vein pain, treating worms, bathing for mothers after giving birth, treating hemorrhoids and gout, and complementary treatment for tumor problems.
